Staff
All staff employed by us
must have CRB clearance and also two references must also be
provided one of which must be from their last
employer. No one is able to work with
the children in our care until they have provided
us with a fully enhanced CRB disclosure.
We cover the entire field of childcare, our service to our customers
can truly be described as "wraparound".
Staff have to be capable of working in any of the settings available to
our customers these include Breakfast Clubs, Daycare, Pre-school and
After School clubs, added to this list is Holiday Care which we offer
approximately twelve weeks a year. Our staff therefore have
to be flexible and adaptable to enable us to meet both the needs of the
children in our care and their parent's.
We seek to recruit staff with a minimum level three
qualification in childcare, those that fall short of this qualification
are presently engaged in training to enable them to reach
the required standard. We believe totally in the ethos of
continuous improvement. We have a Training and Development manager who
has responsibility to identify shortfalls in training and experience
within our staff and to then encourage staff members to further enhance
their knowledge of childcare by enabling them to access
in-house and external courses. Short term, medium and long
term planning of activities for each child in our care is
now an essential part of what we do, our staff are given support and
coaching at all times to enable them to observe and identify a child's
present stage of development across six area's of learning, once this
is achieved a plan is put into place to effectively move the child
forward.
