Daycare
at the Beaumont centre
Our day care setting is open from 7:00 am - 6:00 pm daily Monday to Friday. The Beaumont Centre can be contacted directly on the following telephone number: 07507 786901. Funding Funding is available for your child from the term after they turn three years of age, your child is entitled to fifteen hours of Nursery Funded Care per week. Our funded sessions run from 8:30am - 11:30am and 12:00pm - 3:00pm daily Monday to Friday. 1. Ten hours can now be accessed by Parents in one day 2. A maximum of thirteen can be accessed in two days 3. A total of fifteen hours can be accessed by Parents in three days 4. Sessions have to be a minimum of two hours We are one of only a handful of providers in North
West Leicestershire who are able to offer this flexible service to our
customers. Setting Our day care is situated at the Beaumont social centre. It consists of a large open plan room. The room is transformed on a daily basis into a child friendly inviting childcare setting. We provide zoned areas of learning for the children to experience different and diverse learning experiences, we have maths, book/quiet area, messy, role play, construction, small world, creative area and a snack bar. We provide a variety of snacks on adaily basis and our snack bar encourages the children to be independent and make choices. The activities provided in these areas are child choice, we work along side the foundation stage and birth to three matters. We are working towards the early years foundation stage framework, which will be implemented as of September 2008. We carry out adult led activities as well as child-initiated activities. We base our adult led activities on the development of individual children. It is important that parents, carers and children have a key role in what they learn and enjoy, therefore we adopt/change activities to suit individual interests. We go on regular trips to the park and provide outdoor opportunities on a daily basis. Link with parents The children each have a development file that contains
Parents receive a daily diary which gives you the opportunity to contribute towards your child's learning experiences, parents provide us with information on what the children enjoy at home to ensure continuity of care. Staff All childrenhave a key person that they work closely with on a regular basis, that key member of staff will work with your child and at times will have one to one time with them. This person is responsible for providing activities to meet your child's needs, interests and development. All staff working at the Beaumont centre have a childcare qualification, are friendly caring and welcoming. Meals We cater for the individual child, we provide a variety of food. We have a 3 week menu basis for lunch and evening meals, we provide a hot home cooked meal at tea time and some parents choose to bring in their own lunches for their child.
